摘要
Abstract The infrared absorption at 500 cm−1 was observed during the course of ammonia decomposition on an evaporated iron film. It was assigned to an iron-nitrogen stretching vibration of surface nitrogen species which may be described as Fe–NHX. The assignment was confirmed by the exchange reaction with 15N labeled ammonia.
