摘要
Scalp-electroencephalography (EEG) has been traditionally used to develop a brain-computer interface (BCI) system. In recent years, EEGs recorded around or inside the ears, called ear-EEG, has been frequently used to develop a practical BCI system, and many previous studies have demonstrated its feasibility in terms of the performance and long-term use. In this invited talk, I will introduce recent advances in the development of ear-EEG-based BCIs, including several studies conducted in my laboratory. I will also discuss challenges and opportunities with the future BCI technology based on ear-EEG.
