Abstract In recent years the SN ligand platform was progressing toward high performing lanthanide‐based single‐molecule magnets. Especially the sodium and potassium triimidosulfites are the most promising starting materials. Hence, the [Na(thf) 6 ][S(tmsN) 3 (thf) 3 Na 3 {(Ntms) 3 S}] ( 1 ), [S( t BuN) 3 (thf) 3 K 3 {(HN t Bu)(N t Bu) 2 S}] ( 2 ), and [S( t BuN) 3 (thf) 3 Na 3 {(HN t Bu)(N t Bu) 2 S}] ( L 1 ) precursors were prepared. L 1 leads to four different terbium derivatives upon reaction with the terbium halide salts. For the derived complexes [ClTb{Na(thf)} 2 {(N t Bu) 3 S} 2 ] ( 3 ), [{Na(thf)} 2 {S( t BuN) 3 }TbSTb{Na(thf)} 2 {(N t Bu) 3 S}] ( 4 ), [( t BuNH)Tb{(N t Bu) 3 S}] 2 ( 5 ), and [{S( t BuN) 3 }TbSTb{(N t Bu) 3 S}] 2 ( 6 ) the solid‐state structures were determined and compared. Unfortunately, isolation of these four complexes in preparative applicable yields could not yet be accomplished.
