摘要
The asymmetric oxidative dearomatization of aromatic compounds is beneficial for synthesizing several medicinally important and biologically active compounds. Several elegant strategies have been developed for this purpose by using chiral auxiliaries or chiral reagents. This chapter briefly highlights the recent progress on the enantioselective oxidative dearomatization of arenols and indoles, with a particular focus on iodine-based catalysis.
