Study on Tissue Culture and Rapid Propagation Technologies of Toona sinensis

The underyearling tender stems of Toona sinensis were used as explants to carry out the tissue culture and rapid propagation experiments.The results showed that the survival percentage of the explants was the highest under the condition of disinfecting the explants in 0.1% HgCl2 for 8 minutes.The optimum medium for the bud inducement of Toona sinensis was MS+ BA 0.6 mg/L+ NAA 0.2 mg/L;the optimum medium for the rapid propagation was MS+ BA 1.0 mg/L+ NAA 0.5 mg/L;the optimum medium for rooting was 1/2MS+ IAA 1.0 mg/L;the optimum mixture substrate for the transplanting of the plantlets was vermiculite + perlite + peat(1∶1∶1,v/v/v),and the average survival percentage of the transplanted plantlets was 90%.
