摘要
AbstractSchistosomiasis is an ancient but highly debilitating disease. Currently, this infectious disease is identified as the second most devastating parasitic disease after malaria in terms of its morbidity and mortality and significant medical and veterinary importance in tropical and subtropical regions across the world. In this chapter, we describe the epidemiology, diagnosis, management, and control of human schistosomiasis. In addition, we propose the potential challenges during the progress towards elimination of schistosomiasis in this wormy world.KeywordsSchistosomiasisEpidemiologyDiagnosisTreatmentPreventionElimination
