Robo-Advice as a Digital Finance Platform

Abstract This paper is about automated financial advice, known as Robo-Advice. Its origin and development are analysed as a prominent Fintech activity. After tackling its legal nature as a service platform and showing how it is different from traditional human advice, its legal framework is addressed, particularly in the European Union, to conclude with some legislative policy proposalsto regulate it as a digital finance platform .
