摘要
The purpose of research was to manage laboratory-based learning activity on Electronics Flight Instrument System (EFIS) based on the ARINC 429 protocol. The research tools consist of the teacher' manual, experiment package of aircraft including the ARINC 429 standard, EFIS simulator and perturbator interface, and achievement test. The learning activities is based on practicing laboratory using aircraft equivalents and simulator. An aircraft maintenance technician should understand ARINC 429 standard which defines the physical and electrical interfaces of a two-wire data bus and a data protocol to support an avionics system on aircraft. The learning and teaching of the ARINC 429 protocol based EFIS simulator system encourage aircraft technician to able in repairing and maintaining the EFIS system on aircraft as efficiently. The research results shown that the experts' opinions on the laboratory-based learning process were found reasonably at a high level $(\bar{X} =4.34)$ . The students' satisfaction in learning and teaching activities of avionics engineering course was at high level $(\bar{X} 4.25)$ .
