摘要
Asymmetric carbon–halogen bond-forming reactions have gained increasing interest in the last two decades with a great number of findings related to novel reactions and synthetic approaches. Most of these new procedures have contributed to synthesize interesting carbon–halogen molecules with relevant importance in medicinal and drug research. Representative examples of the carbon–fluorine, carbon–chlorine, carbon–bromine and carbon–iodine formation in asymmetric reactions and metal catalysis are covered in the current chapter focusing mainly on the new advances reported in the last two decades.
