摘要
To the Editor: Psoriasis is a common inflammatory skin disease affecting over 7.5 million people in the United States.1 Cohort studies from the United Kingdom and Taiwan have demonstrated an association between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and psoriasis.2,3 However, this relationship has yet to be investigated within a US cohort. Given that an estimated 1 in 7 US adults has CKD, in conjunction with CKD's significant quality-of-life burden (eg, renal replacement therapy) on patients, we assessed the relationship between psoriasis and CKD in a nationally representative sample of US adults.
