摘要
We suggest caution in interpreting the results and conclusion by David van Toledo and colleagues.1 Using Dutch faecal immunochemical test-based colorectal cancer screening data, they evaluated the association between endoscopists’ individual proximal serrated polyp detection rate (PSPDR) and interval post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer risk. 441 endoscopists performed about 277 555 colonoscopies, and 305 interval post-colonoscopy colorectal cancers were diagnosed during a 33-month follow-up. The authors found that each 1% increase in PSPDR leads to a 7% decrease in interval post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer.
