摘要
Phosphorescence imaging technology has many advantages, including long lifetime, no real-time excitation, and elimination of biological self-fluorescence, which plays an important role in cell and organism monitoring. Phosphorescent probes provide a key material basis for the development of phosphorescent imaging. This review firstly introduces the luminescence mechanism of phosphorescence and its principle for biological imaging. Secondly, according to their composition and structures, phosphorescent probes are divided into groups of organic and inorganic. The research on their synthesis, performance, and application is summarized. Finally, the existing problems of organic and inorganic phosphorescent probes are put forward, and their development is prospected. This review can provide an idea for the design and application of advanced phosphorescent probes in the field of biological imaging.
