摘要
As a new type of two-dimensional layered materials, layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are widely investigated and exhibit great potential for corrosion protection of reinforced concrete due to its special ion exchange characteristics. Different from common corrosion inhibitors, the excellent ion exchange performance of LDHs enables them to release corrosion inhibition anions and adsorb chloride ions, thus realizing dual corrosion protection of reinforcement. Herein, this review introduces in detail the latest research progress of LDHs as corrosion inhibitors for reinforced concrete, including the following aspects: (1) Special characteristics of LDHs, (2) Main preparation methods of LDHs corrosion inhibitor, (3) Corrosion inhibition effect of LDHs and (4) Influence of LDHs on micro/global properties of cement-based materials. Finally, main challenges and problems related to the application of LDHs corrosion inhibitor for reinforced concrete are highlighted in this paper, with the purpose of accelerating the development and application of LDHs corrosion inhibitor in reinforced concrete.
