摘要
With the increasing attention to environmental issues, bio-based polymers have been widely studied in recent years. In the present work, a bio-based rigid diol monomer isosorbide (Is) was adopted to prepare poly(carbonate-ester)s via two-step melt polycondensation. The synthesized copolymers poly(isosorbide carbonate-co-butanediol diacid esters)s (PICBDs) exhibited a slightly cross-linking degree (1.8–36.1%), high molecular weight (Mη = 108,100–141,700 g/mol), and excellent mechanical properties. Due to the cross-linked network and crystalline Is-based copolymers, PICBDs show the potential to serve as self-healing, shape memory, and adhesive materials. Besides, the mechanical properties of PICBDs could be maintained after recycling three times. The performance mentioned above provides PICBDs with broad application prospects as environmentally friendly materials.
