High-rise buildings in high-intensity seismic zones have a greater risk of damage under the action of near-field impulse-type earthquakes, and the use of energy dissipation and damping technology can reduce the risk of high-rise buildings under the action of earthquakes. In this paper, based on incremental dynamic analysis, a 55-story supertall hybrid structure is designed as an arithmetic example, and the susceptibility analysis of this structure and the damping structure with buckling restrained brace and viscous dampers arranged respectively is performed to evaluate the control effect of the two types of dampers on the overall damage performance of this structure under the action of near-field impulse-type ground motion. The results show that the structure is prone to serious damage under the action of near-field impulse-type ground motion, but both types of dampers have a certain control effect on the structural damage, among which the control effect of buckling restrained brace is more obvious than that of viscous dampers.
