摘要
Detachment of inclusions from the steel–slag interface is investigated by considering the meniscus around inclusions. A detailed theoretical model based on the capillary theory of flotation is summarized to judge the detachment conditions, and closed-form analytical expressions for the detachment work and the critical detachment velocity are obtained. Coupled with the local flow field, the detachment probability is formulated as functions of the time–averaged velocity and turbulent kinetic energy.
