Agomelatine versus other antidepressive agents for major depression

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: (1) To determine the efficacy of agomelatine in alleviating acute symptoms of depressive illness in comparison to other antidepressants. (2) To review the acceptability of agomelatine in comparison with other antidepressant drugs. (3) To investigate the adverse effects of agomelatine, including general prevalence of side effects.
