摘要
Based on analytical considerations and supported by experimental information, a general equation has been developed for predicting the flow under a vertical sluice gate in a rectangular channel for free as well as submerged conditions. The well known momentum equation as used for the sluice gate flow has been considered in some detail. The practical problems associated with the sluice gate have been briefly considered.
