摘要
Random Fields is a book which I found both technically interesting and a pleasure to read. The problems considered are those of describing multidimensional stochastic data (as opposed to unidimensional, e.g., multivariate, time series data). The presentation is clear and the book should be useful to almost anyone who uses random processes to solve problems in engineering or science. The author's approach is informal and, while not careless, is not intended for mathematical purists. For example, the index contains six references to limited resolution of measurements but none to measure theory.
