A rare case of enteral discoloration

A 43-year-old woman with a 2-year history of pulmonary tuberculosis was referred to our department because of upper abdominal pain. She had been treated for 1 year for tuberculosis and then had been given a second-line antituberculosis treatment for another year because of multidrug resistance to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, including cycloserine, linezolid, clofazimine, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol. EGD revealed purple mucosal discoloration from the descending duodenum to the beginning of the jejunum (A).
