abusive fidelity Explained

This paper tries to explain and define abusive fidelity,a highly recurrent but confusing term in recent translation studies.The confusion arises from the lack of its source knowledge and hence from the dependence upon its surface value.By way of a textological study,the paper reveals the conceptualization of abusive fidelity from Derrida to Lewis and then to Venuti,and points out a series of misunderstanding concerning this term.
