摘要
Experimental and theoretical investigations were made of the photoluminescence, scattering, and infrared absorption in quartz optical fibers. The temperature dependences of the intensities of the Raman and Brillouin scattering, and of the photoluminescence excited by light of diiferent wavelengths were determined. The transmission spectra of the fibers were recorded in the infrared part of the spectrum at various temperatures. The frequency shift of the Brillouin scattering lines increased as a result of longitudinal elongation of the fibers. The results obtained were used to consider the prospects for constructing distributed fiber-optic sensors of various physical parameters.
