摘要
Polarization devices are widely used in optical systems. However, traditional polarization devices have many limitations, and the difficulty of integration is one of the biggest problems. Metasurface polarization devices can not only realize the functions of traditional ones, but also have the characteristics of easy integration, high efficiency, and multi-function. In recent years, we have witnessed rapid developments in phase, amplitude, and polarization modulation on metasurfaces. The emergence of metasurface addresses some key challenges that remain from traditional optical devices, providing designable optical manipulation capabilities that exhibit exceptional flexibility. In this review, we collated the latest advances in metasurface polarization devices and selected some representative works for detailed presentations. We believe that metasurface provides a new avenue for polarization manipulation and can be applied in optical communication, biomedicine, quantum optics, and other fields, which can achieve compact and integrated optical systems.
