摘要
In this article vibrations transmitted to the frame of a packaging machine are reduced through dynamic balancing. It is known that unbalanced inertial forces and moments result in undesirable vibrations that negatively affect the performance and durability of machines. These shaking forces and shaking moments must be completely balanced to eliminate the vibrations. Balancing generally increases other dynamic characteristics like driving torque, bearing reactions in joints and the overall mass of the mechanism and can lead to a more complex mechanism. Instead of a complete balance of shaking force and moment, these can be minimized through optimization techniques. In this work, an optimization procedure is formulated to determine the masses and locations of counterweights that provides the minimum shaking force and moment of a packaging machine sealing head, thus reducing the vibrations transferred to the frame.
