Learn more.Copy URL Share a linkShare onFacebookTwitterLinked InRedditWechat Abstract Getting a grip: G-quadruplex formation can be regulated by reversible cis–trans photoisomerization of the photochromic nucleobase 8-fluorenylvinyl-2′-deoxyguanosine (see picture: fluorene red, guanine green). Switching between a very stable quadruplex state and a non-structured state allows controlled binding to thrombin (pink).
