Intelligent Compaction (IC) utilizes the Intelligent Compaction Measurement Value (ICMV) to assess compaction quality in real-time. However, current engineering practices rely on a fixed ICMV for evaluation, overlooking material variations and different compaction stages. The choice of ICMV is often dictated by the manufacturer, lacking rationality. This paper presents a multi-domain ICMV system to customize the appropriate ICMV for various construction scenarios. ICMVs are derived by processing the roller's vibrational response in the time, frequency, and dual time-frequency domains. Optimal filtering methods are recommended for each domain, and sixteen ICMVs are calculated. A criterion is proposed to select suitable ICMVs based on their relationships to rolling passes, statistical performance, and model accuracy. Consequently, six optimal ICMVs are suggested based on the criterion and validated in the field test, effectively enhancing the evaluation accuracy and robustness. This multi-domain ICMV system leads to rigorous and reliable IC evaluations, facilitating its widespread implementation.
