摘要
Diabetes patients need a frequent dosage of insulin to monitor blood glucose levels. Mechanical single-needle insulin pumps are irritating and inconvenient. Microneedle patches based on MEMS have been created as an alternative to this agonizing single needle. The use of micro-needles is considered an effective treatment in diabetic patients. These micro-needles use micro-pumps as they can influence fluid movements and volumes. In this paper, a positive displacement insulin micro-pump built on MEMS technology has been developed.
