摘要
Due to the advantage of having a relatively low cost, the reluctance motor, which is void of rare-earth permanent magnets in its core, has widely attracted interest. Among reluctance motors, the Dual-mode Reluctance Motor (DRM), which combines the advantages of both the Switched Reluctance Motors (SRMs) and the Synchronous Reluctance Motors (SynRMs), has been introduced. However, the original inverter of the DRM is relatively costly and is characterized with low stability due to its complicated structure. In this paper, a new inverter structure is proposed, which is simplified compared with the original structure. The performances of the two modes of DRM are discussed through simulation.
