1079 NG101: A Potent and Selective Dopamine D2 Receptor Antagonist as a Potential Alternative to Metoclopramide and Domperidone for the Treatment of Gastroparesis

There was no significant correlation between improvement in gastric emptying rate and symptom improvement.Compared to both placebo and baseline, prucalopride significantly improved the overall PAGI-QOL score (1.20±0.26 vs. 1.55±0.33 and 1.90±0.39,both p<0.001), and the domains of clothing (0.98±0.21 vs. 1.62±0.35and 2.00±0.41,both p<0.005) and diet (1.46±0.32 vs. 1.99±0.44 and 2.33±0.48,both p<0.05).Conclusion: In idiopathic gastroparesis patients, 4 weeks of prucalopride treatment significantly enhances gastric half emptying time and improves symptoms and quality of life compared to placebo and to baseline. 1078
