摘要
A new method of painting was developed in the 20th century. It consists of electrodeposition of aqueous paints based on water-soluble film-forming polyelectrolytes. Now this method is widely used, mainly to obtain primers or single-layer coatings on metal substrates. In this paper, an attempt has been made to survey the most important factors that influence the film formation and the properties of coatings prepared by this method. The problems are considered with respect to physico-chemical and technological aspects.
