This chapter illustrates the utility of a toolkit consisting of five programs to design peptides and small proteins. The toolkit comprises five different programs that can be used independently or together as a pipeline for the design and computational characterization of peptides. The toolkit includes programs for checking the chirality of amino acids (ProChiral), generating contact maps (CoMa), analyzing data redundancy (DaRe), calculating the hydrogen bond potential energy (HyPE), and electrostatic interaction energy (EsInE).
