摘要
Long-chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFAs) especially n-3 series such as Omega-3, Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), and Eicosapentaenoic Acid perform as necessary dietary supplements to consider the wellbeing of human health.Notably, these FAs evoked specific protein targeting biogenesis pathways in the cytosol that prevents various human disorders likewise; as coronary heart disease, inflammatory disease, liver problems, diabetes, brain development, eye problems, cancer therapy as well as therapy in COVID-19.In the protein regulation, PUFAs alter the composition of membrane lipids, modulation of cyclooxygenase, activation of SIRT1/AMPK, control intracellular metabolism, control the signal transduction along with gene expression, and regulates transcription factors like SREBF1c as well as nuclear receptors HNF-4, GPCR, PPAR, LXR, TLR-4, etc. Thus, the present article focuses on the potential cytotoxic therapeutic role and pleiotropic effects of n-3 PUFAs against chronic inflammations, platelet aggregation, coronary diseases, retinal disorder, and cancer cell proliferation in human body.
