摘要
Exosome-like nanovesicles isolated from edible plants (ELNs) have been proven to have multiple activities with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potential beneficial effects, which play an important role in human health. However, ELNs from coarse cereals and legume grains were rarely reported. The aim of this study is to explore the effect of kidney bean derived exosome-like nanovesicles (KBELNs) on obesity induced by HFD. The KBELNs were isolated and characterized similarly to animal cell-derived exosome-like nanovesicles. Oral KBELNs significantly reduced body weight, liver weight, increased SCFAs and improved blood glucose and lipid levels in obese rats. And KBELNs increased the diversity of gut microbiota, and improved obesity by regulating the composition of gut microbiota, increasing the distribution of beneficial bacteria and enhancing the level of metabolite SCFAs. Our study provides important information for the anti-obesity effect of kidney beans, which offers a novel consideration for the improvement of obesity with KBELNs.
