Effects of Simulation Welding Passes on Pressure Vessel\'s Residual Stress and Deformation

For large complex structural parts,the simulation welding passes can directly determine the simulation computing workload.Using the finite element numerical simulation software,taking advantage of Gaussian heat source and birth and death unit technology,the effects of simulation welding passes on the welding residual stress field of 1000 MW reactor pressure vessel in the nuclear power station and the deformation of the saddle weld connecting the nozzles were discussed.The results show that the effects of simulation welding passes on the residual stress and deformation are not obvious.
