Study on Chemical Constituents from the Hydrangea macrophylla(Thunb.) Ser

Objective:To investigate the chemical constituents of the extract from the Hydrangea macrophylla(Thunb.) Ser.Methods:The chemical constituents were isolated by various isolation methods(silica gel,ODS and HPLC column chromatography) and their structures were elucidated by the analysis of spectral data(NMR and MS).Results and Conclusion:Six compounds were obtained and elucidated as following: vanillin(1),isovanillin(2),isovanillic acid methyl ester(3),9-methoxy-isoeugenol(4),methyl-p-coumarate(5),4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(6).
