摘要
Batteries are central for Energy Islands as they provide a local energy storage by enabling reduction of the overall environmental footprint of energy consumption and helping to reach a CO2 neutral balance. The role of batteries in the E-LAND project is to locally store green energy, use energy efficiently, and to reduce peak loads with energy storage systems. However, to do this effectively installation and use of battery require considerations with respect to both safety and security. This paper elaborates on the project's safety and security challenges when the Li-on management system is integrated with other systems.
