摘要
In recent years, photocatalysis technology obtain a lot of attention to solve the energy shortage and environmental pollution. As a photocatalytic nanomaterial, BiOCl and BiOCl-based photocatalysts have sparked numerous interest due to its unique hierarchical structure and electronic structure. In this review, we provide an overview of BiOCl-based photocatalysts development/design encompassing experimental studies. Specific foci include photocatalyst: (i) synthetic method (ii) growth mechanism, (iii) crystal structure and electronic structure, (iv) bandgap energies. The relationship between structure–property-performance is further elaborated. The synthesis methods, structure, basic properties of various BiOCl-based photocatalytic nanomaterials were investigate, summarized and discussed. Furthermore, the application of BiOCl-based photocatalysts in the production of clean fuels and the degradation of pollutants have proved its efficient. Finally, this review proposed some viewpoints about the development and new guidance of BiOCl-based photocatalysts.
