摘要
Abstract In the proposed work a precise CAD model of human airways is modelled using Computed Tomography (CT) scan data. Medical images consisting CT scan data of Thoracic region of a 73-year-old male patient is acquired from Radiology department. CT scan data is imported in medical image processing software Materialise Mimics Research 19. Then various operations such as region growing, split mask, thresholding etc. are performed to segment Airways from other regions present in Thorax CT. Using such modelling steps in MIMICS a CAD model of human airways consisting trachea region and six generations of airways is modelled. A patient specific CAD model of Human Airways is modelled which can be further used to perform CFD analysis.
