Ultralow-Loss, Plug-and-Play Hollow-Core Fiber Interconnection

An ultralow-loss, plug-and-play single-mode hollow-core fiber (HCF) connector is developed. Insertion loss of 0.13 dB and 0.10 dB for HCF to itself @1550 nm and to a standard single-mode fiber @1489 nm, respectively, is demonstrated.
