The characterization of the microporous structure of activated carbons, which also possess mesopores, requires correction of adsorption data to extract From them adsorption occuring in the micropores. The value of this correction depends on the mesopore specific surface area. It is shown that the methods used for estimating the mesopore specific surface area lead to different values, which give different values of adsorption in mesopores. Moreover, this paper shows how the value of the specific surface area affects the parameters of microporous structure.
