摘要
This paper presents a robot communication system for promoting driver's motivation toward safe driving. Various navigation and control systems for safety driving have been proposed in related works. However, these don't lead to raise drivers' awareness of traffic safety. Without the feedback of own driving performance, it can be difficult for drivers to build self-confidence to achieve safe driving. In this study, we used a communication robot as a guide to navigate and score the level of safety driving. Moreover, we proposed a communication model to prevent a lack of self-efficacy to achieve safety driving, based on the theory of self-serving bias. To verify the effect of the proposed approach, we conducted some experiments and questionnaire investigation to discuss the applicability for motivating safety driving. From the experimental results, we found that the effect on driver's self-efficacy varies with not only the scoring result but also the frequency of car use in daily life and driving experience.
