Regarding the review and commentary of the CHIVA method for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency

We read with interest the review and commentary on the article in the Cochrane Review regarding the CHIVA (conservatrice hémodynamique de l'insuffisance veineuse en ambulatoire) method1 for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency in the latest issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders. Our impression is that it would seem more a negative personal opinion on the CHIVA method, based on clichés and on the, however admitted, personal lack of experience in the field, rather than a commentary on the effective content of the Cochrane article.
