Conformal chemical vapor deposition of B4C thin films onto carbon nanotubes

We use a newly developed conformal CVD process to uniformly coat CNTs in a membrane structure with boron carbide. We show that the CVD process preserves the structure of the CNTs and merely adds a layer of B 4 C to their outer surface.
