Fuel cells – Proton-exchange membrane fuel cell | Bipolar plates

In the following chapter the requirements as well as different production techniques for bipolar plates are summarized. This is separated in the categories of metallic and graphitic bipolar plates. As metallic bipolar plates are more prone to corrosion, different coatings are discussed. Furthermore, the different design choices of flow fields are described.
