In recent years, the demand for gears in the fields of electric vehicles and robots has become higher and higher. It is urgent to realize the rapid measurement and evaluation of the three-dimensional tooth flank of gears.Therefore, a gear line laser three-dimensional measurment instrument has been designed and developed. Based on the Visual Studio platform, the test and control software of the line laser three-dimensional measuring instrument has been independently developed and designed. It has the functions of gear parameter input, line laser sensor pose parameter calibration, laser three-dimensional measurement of gear tooth flank information, tooth flank quality evaluation, printing report and so on. The system calibration coordinate system is established, create a transpose matrix to realize the conversion between coordinate systems, and the least square fitting optimization program is used to realize the calibration of the pose parameters of the line laser sensor. The 3D point cloud resampling model of gear measurement is constructed, and different filtering algorithms are integrated to realize the preprocessing of gear 3D point cloud data and obtain the full information point cloud data of the gear. The 3D model of gear tooth profile evaluation range is constructed, and the rapid measurement and evaluation of gear tooth profile deviation, pitch deviation and topological deviation are realized. The experimental results show that the software runs stably and reliably on site, and the evaluation results are consistent with the traditional contact measurement results, which can realize the three-dimensional measurement of gear line laser.
