摘要
Inspired by nature, material scientists explore and design a variety of biomimetic materials. Proper physicochemical properties of biomimetic materials are crucial to their application in vivo. In this review, we focus on the “process-biomimetic materials“ except structure- and function-biomimetic materials. This review summarizes the process-biomimetic macromolecular materials, such as protein, peptide, lipid, and synthetic polymers. The advantages of process-biomimetic macromolecular materials for biomedical applications are discussed. The directions of future developments for process-biomimetic materials are provided.
