They concluded that both acupuncture and doxylamine–pyridoxine alone are efficacious for moderate and severe NVP and that the combination of acupuncture and doxylamine–pyridoxine may yield a potentially larger benefit than each treatment individually.In 1997, a National Institutes of Health consensus panel reported that evidence was available supporting acupuncture for NVP (2).
