The differentiation of Th1 ,Th2 cell and the balance between them play important roles in the regula-tion of immune responses. The differentiation ofThl ,Th2 cell is affected by several factors, in which transcrip-tion factors T-bet and GATA-3 are particularly important. Disequihbrium of Thl and Th2 differentiation is in-volved in pathogenesis, development and prognosis of many diseases. This article reviews the effects of T-bet/GATA-3 in the regulation of Th1/Th2 differentiation, their significance in the pathogenesis of diseases, and the study progress of these areas. This will help reveal pathogenesis of many diseases and provide new therapeutical approaches in clinical practices.
