Objective To study the application of different position fixation technology on setup error in postoperative radiotherapy after breast conserving surgery to breast cancer. Methods Thirty patients with breast cancer and conducted breast postoperative radiotherapy were randomly divided into two groups. The breast bracket was used in each of the group. One group was used thermoplastic film and the other group did not use thermoplastic film( skin maker ink). All the 15 patients were taken positive and side verification sheet to acquire validation error values for placement. Results In the directions of head-foot( Y),around( X) and front-back( Z),the error value in the thermoplastic film group was respectively 4. 00 ±0. 81,3. 80 ±0. 80,2. 70 ±0. 79 mm,and in the non-thermoplastic film group,the value was respectively 2. 60 ±0. 94,2. 70 ±0. 70 and 2. 50 ±0. 75 mm. The error value in direction of Y and X was smaller in non-thermoplastic film group than that in the thermoplastic group( t3. 16,3. 09,both P0. 05). Conclusion In breast conserving surgery of breast cancer,with breast bracket and without thermoplastic film could better improve the placement repeatability and accuracy,showing more advantage than that using thermoplastic film.
