The adsorption capability of Enteromorpha Prolifera for Pb2+ in wastewater as well as the factors influencing the adsorption efficiency was examined by conducting adsorption tests. The effects of pH value and initial Pb2+ concentration of wastewater as well as the adsorption time and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption efficiency were investigated.Result shows that Enteromorpha Prolifera has good absorption capability for Pb2+,and an adsorptive efficiency of 82% can be acquired when 1.0 g/L adsorbent is used to treat wastewater with a pH of 4.0 and Pb2+ concentration of 50 mg/L.Besides,the adsorption process of Pb2+ in wastewater by Enteromorpha Prolifera can be well described with the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models.
